I just talked to somone this weekend about bringing in people to work. Here in Saskatchewan it's a little different, we have too many jobs and not enough people for the jobs. But, for example, Tim Hortans and Mcdonalds both brought in people from the phillipeens and Jamaca(not sure I spelled that right...lol).
The thing is that both places were having trouble opperating at full capacity due to lack of staff. So for this situation, for someone to complain about bringing people in, should have taken thos jobs themselves.

haha well if you wont work for less then min wage here and the illegals will your not likely to get any job they can fill cheaper -- we got a few million people outta work and more being laid off everyday I'm pretty sure theres plenty of jobs taken by illegals that someone with a family would take if the slave labor wasn't present to fill the jobs

Well, I'm against the jobs being taken by illegals. That is more of an enforcement problem. The companies that hire illegals are at fault. I can't imagine any government supporting the hiring of illegals and at below minimum wage. What is your minimum wage? Ours just went up to $9.25(which put some people out of work).
The jobs here that aren't being filled are $10/hr with benafits. My son who is in his last year of school, works part time at a grocery chain at that $10/hr range. He says it's hard to find people to work.

thats why i posted about voting on E-Verify because it is the company's fault and an enforcement prob - and with e verify they wont be getting hired if they don't belong here and maybe they will go back where they belong instead of dragging the U.S. down more
i have no idea what the min wage is here
