Howdy folks, One of my hiking buddies wanted a bola with one of my knapped points on it so I made him one and also made a slide from one of my cabs of Hornitos Jasper with gold bearing pyrite included. Hope he likes it. here's a pic.....Mel

He's gonna hate you Mel. Everytime he wears it he'll be late because he won't be able to decide which slide to use! They both look fantastic.

Mel, They are both incredable. I love the setting you chose for that beautiful Hornitos. The knapped point is so cool. Is the slide part glued on?

Sitnwrap: Yep, the slide is glued on the back of the point. I knapped that one with a bit of a flat spot on the back so it worked out perfect....Me

Heck I would love wearing those bolos myself. I have always been partial to arrowheads and the setting with the Jasper is brilliant:)

That is a great looking bolo!!!
Silly question.... did you also do the leather strands .... (uhh ...) ropes? Forgive me for not knowing the terminology.
As always Julie

Julie: Nope, I got the bola cords from Eloxite. They have leather, cloth and synthetics pre woven and with crimped ends in a choice of 36" and 42" lengths.....Mel
