With hard felt bobs and wheels you can use either diamond polish or polish compounds. Bobs and wheels are available either mounted on stems to fit the Dremel or unmounted and used with a mandrel.

You can get them at Home Depot, Target, Wal-Mart, or other places that sell Dremel accessories. They're very common and look like white felt cylinders or disks. Home Depot also carries polishing compounds in stick form from Ryobi.

If they have a choice hard felt works better on rock. Softer buffs are more fore metal polishing. I'm guessing their stick polishes are also metal polish. If they have green rouge it can be used on turquoise and other softer stones. The softer buffs also.
