I picked these up at a local rock show yesterday. Sometimes a piece just begs you to pick it up and own it... heh. Brazilian agate, approx 6"x3"x4", over 1 lb, $13 Polish flint, slab, approx 4"x5", $12 Chinese almandine garnets: approx 1"+, 4 for $10, Herkimer diamonds, $1 each Oregon thundereggs, 4-6", $8-12 each half The Brazilian I bought because it was effing gorgeous to me. The flint I bought because I didn't have any flint pieces yet and how cool is a rock with patterns like that?? The garnets were cheap and neat and I was able to pick through about 500 of them to find good ones. The Herkimers were too cool to resist and the guy had a lot to choose from. The Herkimers and thundereggs are gifts for other people. Here's a pic of my bay window after being re-arranged.

Oh, I almost forgot: I got a bag of 2-5" carnelian chunks from Dan Groah for $8. A buck a pound!

OK, that flint ... it makes my jaw drop. If you can see the head of a fancy betta ("Siamese Fighting Fish") on the far right between your fingers, and the rest of it is his fins flowing behind him .... dang, that's purty!
Oh, yeah, the rest of them are great as well - but the flint ..... oh, my!

Your last thunder egg has a face looking out at you and that carnelian is awesome! Love the crystals in the first one also. That just begs you to look at it! You really scored big at that show! Fran

Very cool score! I love all of it. My daughters would love the diamonds. I'll have to look for some of those at the larger local show by me that's coming up in a few weeks.
Thanks for showing us your beautiful finds.

I like the Polish flint that has the hint of blue-gray instead of just the tan and grey. Thats a nice slab, seems to be whole round.
Will you cut it?

The tripple thunder egg in the last picture has an amazingly deep blue and, besides, it looks like an alien! Adrian

Wow! the color in the carnelian is so rich. Those garnets look like they are prefaceted. If they come out of the ground like that, that is so cool. Great scores.

If I could hook up with someone from an area that produces some halfway decent banded/patterned flint I'd do a box trade.
