Upon further investigation I now see why it is so much cheaper. I guess that little yellow line means it is only for dry applications and not wet/rock applications. Fooy, I was thinking I found a great deal. :cheesy: Oh well, such is life. Back to scratching.

That is the light duty version of the ultra vibe design to tumble brass cartridges for reloading. It won't hold up to rock tumbling use for very long. Check out the Rock Shed (therockshed.com) or Kingsley North (kingsleynorth.com) for the UV-10's designed for rock tumbling. You would need the blue striped "Industrial" model. Thy have bigger motor, thicker barrel, etc. Cabellas sometimes has Thumler's rotaries pretty cheap though. As long as they are not the "High Speed" version they are same as the rock equipment dealers.

As everyone else said, the Cabellas tumbler is not for rocks!! Cabellas doesn't sell any lapidary equipment, only stuff for hunting. The Tumbler UV-10 vibe is the best tumbler made in my opinion, but please get the right one. I've had mine for 4 years, and love it!
