Hello, everyone! Slowly but surely, I'm gaining my pace after the vacation. This also includes rock polishing! As the aquisitions and gifts from USA are still to come, I begun with a local flint nodule, which I polisahed in my favorite style, meaning on one of its natural surfaces. The colors are not too spectacular but there are some nice bandings... ... and the material takes a good polish. Thank you for looking, and if you like it please check the competition area, there is a contest with this rock as a prize! Adrian

Adrian, this is like a sneak preview of what is to come. You put a mirror glass shine to this Flint and off to the left, it looks like it is reflecting a pebble garden with two stepping stones. The flint is really pretty.
I'm glad to see you have rested from your whirlwind vacation.

Pretty neat Adrian. Your flint nodules are almost identical to the local stuff we have here called rootbeer flint. It was one of the favorite knapping stones used by the Comanche Indians here on the ranch.....Mel
