Hello, everyone!
We returned from our longest vacation so far and, probably, ever. We have seen so many interesting places and for this we also had to drive quite a lot.
We flew in Denver and from there we went to Moab UT, Holbrook AZ, Cameron AZ, Hatch UT, Las Vegas NV, Tulare CA, San Francisco, Modesto CA, Twin Falls ID, Yellowstone, Rushmore and Imperial NE. And then back to Denver of course. Needless to say we also made some detours, local trips etc to visit the places of interest.
When we planned our trip, I thought it will be a 5000 miles drive. And the actual mileage was not very far from this estimation, meaning it is somewhere between 5000 and 6000 miles.
This picture was taken right after we returned our car (well, not any more "our" ) to Denver airport.
Your task is to guess how many miles we drove, up to the first decimal. So your guess should look like 5???.?
The first one who guesses the right mileage will win the contest. The prize is this flint nodule (local rock) polished on one natural surface. Of course I will add some other rough rocks into the prize box, but this will be the main piece, let's say it is the final milestone of our trip
The contest will run for five days without ANY clue and then, if no-one guesses meantime I will start giving clues and it will run for another five days. If no-one will guess the correct answer, the closest guess will win no matter if it's upper or lower.
Good luck, have fun,
Adrian
PS. With the data I gave you above, anyone who met me doesn't know more than the ones who didn't, so EVERYONE is welcome to jump in this contest!
