You know, I think these folks always mean well but never see what the consequences can be until it is too late. Very foolish and it would put us that much closer to the communist country our leaders are trying to make us. Fran

take everyones guns so when they speak out about obama they will be easy for the army to herd into the camps that arent there wink wink nudge nudge-- once they get everyone on paper that has a gun with a clip it will be easy to make the rounds and say hand it over or go to jail -- like i said before start grabbing revolvers at least you will get a few shots off

With everything I read about the things going on in the States and the reactions of the people, I would be more worried about your next door nieghbor than the government. Nothing like 300,000,000 riled up americans with guns to make things interesting.
We have had gun registation of hand guns in Canada for as long as I can remember. The long gun registry is a big waste of tax payer money(over a billion dollars). The criminals will not register there guns and they won't turn over their uzzies, so why bother making farmer register their hunting rifles.
At least as a Canadian, I can go out i public and be 99% sure the people around me aren't armed. I can't say that when I travel in the States when I see someone at a political protest wearing a side arm.
My two cents...again, eh.

Psssttt, John.
Move to Texas. As of Sept. 1, we have a new law that any gun manufactured in the state can be bought and possessed without being regisatered by the Feds. The state Attorney General will go to Fed court in your defense if they give you a hassle about having it without being registered.
