I found this rock not to long ago however I don't know what it is, or what to do with it. It's about the size of a tennis ball so it would have to be cut up if I was to tumble it. At the moment I'm working on getting a workforce for small things like this to cut up, but don't have it yet. Any idea what it could be, reminds me of a colorful easter egg. All speckled colored and all. It is flat on one side, probably where it had been laying but 3/4 of it is nice and rounded. Any help is appreciated. Wet Showing the flat side Close up Happy Easter

Looks like common quartz like you find in rivers, to me. Ken

So if/when I get a saw and open it up it won't be anything unexpected, but what could I look forward to perhaps?

We all "hope" to find something good in each and every rock......but unfortunately, some just dont live up to our expectations. If I had picked that one up, I would consider it a "leaverite" and leave it right where I found it. However, we each see something different in the rocks we pick up. If it is interesting to you, by golly...do something with it! Sometimes you WILL find something unexpected but with that particular rock, I wouldnt expect to much. Shannon

Well if anything, it will be an excellent practice rock when I get my workforce! Better to practice on stuff like this than to mess up on something else! Thanks guys for the info. The more I look at it it reminds me of horse poo. LOL

LOL, very true.........practice on the common ones so as to not mess up on the expensive ones, that is always good advice! Shan
