Thank you all for the great input and back patting!
As for the Obsidian ... other than I let it go too long in the grit stages, the pre and polish are nothing special. The grit stages take care of any blemishes and since it is volcanic glass, that makes it simple.
Just polish and lots of cushion.

Gem .... if you go off and get some obsidian goodies .... maybe you can think of me and I will buy a small FRB from you. Maybe some others would like some too. I think that I have developed a love for obsidians.
I would LOVE some more.
I really wish I could remember who the RTH er was that sent me that beautiful chunk of mahogany. I would also buy a small FRB of some more.
