Well last week while I was cleaning out my workshop, I came across a box of rocks that my wife and I picked up on our 1 year anniverssary up in Minnesota. I decided to plop them in an empty tumbler and see what comes out. Here are the results after 60/90 and 10 days. Now I have no idea what these are, I'm going to assume they are all agates, more possibly Lake Superior Agates (as they were found on the beach of Lake Superior). I have broken them down by what I believe would be different types. Either way, I'm liking what I see so far. Enjoy the pictures. #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 I also took out the Apache Tears from the pre-polish grind. I think I'm going to put these to the side for a while till my vibe comes in and I can buy some Tripoli and a finer grind for polish. But at least they don't show any cracks or chips. There's only about 3/4 of a pound here.

Looks like some nice agates - good find!
On the apache tears - you might want to consult with others on the board who have had less-than-satisfying experiences concerning apache tears and vibes. My understanding is they don't play well together.

Those look great for coming out of 60/90. Should shine up fine.

The black & white, pink & black and orange and black (the speckly ones) are likeley granite or rhyolite. Both granite and rhyolite have the same recipe, but one cools rapidly above ground, the other cools slowly below ground. They are beautiful if you get a shine, but this can sometimes be difficult because the different ingredients in the recipe (the different colours) also have different hardnesses. Good luck!
