Here's the very first wrap from my daughter Abby ;D. She has had no training and went at this all on her own. We have now looked at Randy's tutorial a little, and got plenty of pointers. She is very proud of it (as am I!). Thanks for looking. Nate & Abby

Mr. Critical chiming in here. I like it. Perfect color for the stone. How old is she? She did well.

Thanks Marie and Toad. Abby is 12. We bought this copper wire at a craft store. I see from some of the posts that's not the best to have, so we'll probably look into ordering some soon.

Oh yes yes yes!! Get her some copper wire to practice with, oh my gosh the difference it makes! She will love the wire, and love you even more for getting it for her! SOOOOO much easier to work with!! Wish I would have done it sooner!

WTG Abbey. You should be proud. It looks like arms holding on to the Earth or a tree encompasing the Earth. I'm looking forward to your next wrap.

Abby- Super job, and that will always be the barometer to measure your work! And the most special one! Now tell your Dad to crack open the wallet and get you some good wire, LOL! WTG! Keep at it! Amber

Shhh! Don't tell her, but the wire was shipped today! Thanks for the tip about brandywine in Marie's (superioragate) thread, Randy!!
We're going to the Oshkosh Earth Science show this weekend. Should be plenty of inspiration there for her (and me)!

Really great job Abby!!! Wire wrapping is not always easy but your end results will always be worth it. Keep each one, or a photo of each one and you will see how you improve each and every time. I still have my first cab and wrap!

She did a great job! It has a real organic feel to it. Love the copper with that stone.
