Snuffy, that's awesome! I'm tumbling some pet wood from Saskrock right now, for the first time, and I'm developing a new appreciation for it. Those are beautiful!!!

Lookin good, Snuffy! I have a small batch of pet wood left-overs in the little barrel now - I hope I can get a good shine on them.

Big pieces! Looks like patience paid off here. What was the hardest step in your process? Karock

karock, I ran these 1 week in coarse, recharged and ran 3 weeks without opening, then put in reused polish for 2 weeks. Most of the pieces I find are semi smooth and rounded so it doesnt take me as long as broken and sharp pieces would. So no step is really hard.

Great batch, I especially like the big palm wood and the red-pink pieces.

Nice batch Snuffy! That's a very economical tumble too. 2 charges of rough grind and a long recycled polish round? Sweet.

I've been doing a lot of pet wood myself. Kinda got addicted to it. I even bought a pair of 6 lb tumblers to accomodate larger pieces.
I run them 18-21 days in 46/70 to start. After 21 days theres no sign of the grit anymore. I usually end up running half of them another 21 days to smooth the edges. The remaining steps I treat just like any other harf tumbling rough.
I've been getting my tumbling wood by the lb from a shop in TN. He has some really nice stuff!
