Hey Garry, your pics are lookin' super and your work is inspirational! The first one is my fav, if I'm forced to pick one, but the wood frame and the dendritic is awesome. They all are. Do you mind giving us an idea of the amount of time you put in to these? Jo

Dang Garry, Those are very nice...each and everyone of them in it's own unique style! I like that 1st one Best...but that Red Lace and OJ are up on my #1 list. That middle orb in the OJ looks like it's actually floating right out of the frame with the shadow behind it. Thanks for sharing these with us. Steve

Thanks for your kind comments.
Jo - The time to do these depends on several things, but it mostly depends how many frame pieces you have to glue on. The most time-consuming ones in this batch would be the 6-sided ones with 4 frames, which would mean 24 pieces to glue on after the center is ready. I used a 5-minute epoxy to glue these so I wouldn't have to wait so long (like you would have to do with Epoxy 330), so that saved some time. Most of these took about 2-days to do, some more, some less, but I've never finished one in a single day. The 6-sided, 4-frame pieces took about 3 days each, because you can't just sit at your wheels and go at it. Glue, wait, grind, lap, get the next frame pieces ready, then glue, wait, grind, lap ad infinitum.................................... It also saves a little time to do more than one at a time, but with 5-minute epoxy, it will start to set up on you before you get the frame pieces attached if you do more than 2 intarsias at once. Wow Garry, Those are fantastic!! I keep saying I am going to try my hand at that, but I never seem to find the time. You sure do a super job on those, I love the large dendridic one, I think you did it just right. Looks like an old antique picture frame. The bubble up one is waay cool, too!
Keep at it, we need the eye candy!

Your intarsias are gorgeous! Each of them so unique! The Morrissomite, the Bruneau, the large dendritic pictural and the "Bubble up" are my favorites.

Outstanding work Garry! You REALLY have an eye for the colors and patterns necessary for an intarsia piece to look balanced as opposed to overly busy.

You started with some nice center stones and then built around them beautifully. Nice work.

These are breath taking:) This Mister Garry is a modest man with much talent and such a kind, generous heart. When I first joined this board and was all fired up about intarsia I bugged him constantly about what, why, when and he sent me a tutorial. Prolly to shut me up:) but I know it was because of his giving spirit. You are very talented at this Garry, you seem to know just what materials and shapes and colors to put together to make each of these a work of art and is not afraid to experiment. With winter coming on, I hope you have more time to share with us all of your creations:)

Those are some beautiful pieces! I can't pick a favorite because they are all stunning. What I want to know is how do you back them? Or do you?

Dang Garry those are fantastic. The word "intarsia" gets thrown around pretty easily here but these truly fit the definition. Not only is your work flawless but your choices of materials really make the piece. I'm not going to pick a favorite because they all deserve to be favorites.

Garry: Man, were these ever worth the wait!!!!!! My goodness they are so beautiful I can hardly pick a fav, but I think the Bruneau is my fav and the large dendritic one. They are so flawless and such great use of materials, I think the material choices are what really sets the pieces off and just highlights each center stone so well! Beautiful, I must have scrolled up and down 50 times, LOL!!! I feel dizzy!!! Amber P.S.-now go make a couple more!!!!! Special request----- make a tahoma one!
