First let me say a HUGE thank you to tkrueger3 for the gift he sent me! You will be seeing more of them in the days to come. He sent me some of his cabs....I cannot thank him enough!!! First up - Cabs from tkrueger3 And another cab from aunuts, on our trade A couple rocks I just pulled out of the tumbler today And a couple more of those little cabs I already had Can't say as I like them all, and a couple may get un-done, and re-wrapped, but for now, this is the way they are. Thanks for looking!! Marie

Nice work on the wraps - truly unique designs. The cabs are nice accents.

Marie are you teaching yourself how to wrap? These are truely amazing. The real beauty of this group is that along with your great workwomanship, there is a variety of styles.
You didn't just take flight with this wrapping business. you sprouted 10ft wings. lol.

Marie are you teaching yourself how to wrap? Like I said, she has the knack. Very few people can jump right in to this with both feet, but she did and these look great!

Wow Marie! You made my cabs look a lot better than they did before wrapping! ;D The left one is jade, middle is some sort of onyx, I think, and the right one is amazonite. You really went to town on those!
I love the one from aunuts - interesting looking stone, and your wrap is terrific - I like that knit look.
The 2 from the tumbler - St. John's flower agate and maybe banded onyx, or one of the lace agates? The wraps go well with the stones.
The 2 you already had - I love the beading on the left one. The chain effect on the other is an interesting, "different" look, and very imaginative, but it needs to be on a much bigger stone - I think it kinda overcooks that particular cab. But I like it.
Well done!
I almost had one finished tonight - one of the cabs that I managed to get a really good glossy shine on ...... and then it slid off of my fingers, off the table, off my jeans, off the chair, and onto the tile floor. Crap. Oh, well. Problem is - that was the only piece of that stone I had. I whistled Taps over it.

Well it's good to know for sure what the cabs are exactly that you sent me!! The ones from the tumbler? They are - right Lake superior agate, and left....I believe is either mary ellen, or stromatolite....not sure which.....MEL!!!!!!! These are all self collected from my "back yard" ! (as are the ones in the tumbling section) Anyways, yeah that "knitted" one is one of those I thought I might re-do in to something else, maybe try that look on a bigger stone. I am just not completely happy with the way that looks. I have already wrapped 2 more of your cabs you sent, and working on a 3rd one!! I love them! THANK YOU!!!! What a sweet and generous gift, and very thoughtful!!
Sitnwrap - OMG! It must show I am teaching myself how to do this....gonna have to work harder at it I guess! Thanx! Thanx Randy & moondragon, appreciate the confidence votes! Marie

Yep, Mary Ellen and Lake Superior sounds right - there are quite a few that resemble some Mary Ellen, and to my untrained eyes, they all look alike! In fact, the one I trashed tonight might be Mary Ellen, but I really don't know how to tell the difference - it's the one on the right in this pic: Tom
