I pulled the lid off a 3# barrel today to see how the polish had progressed on a mixed lot of agates and jaspers. This was the second week for this bunch since they'd seemed kind of hazy last week. I washed them and added 3 oz of AO polish. The barrel was 3/4 full. I shook the barrel every other day to make sure the rocks weren't locking up on me. I lay these on 1/2" graph paper. The whole batch: Webster ranch in the center: Webster ranch agate front and back side. I love this red: Some jasper from the railroad tracks A piece of Ocean Jasper The end cut of a Royal Sahara nodule. The other piece is still a work in progress: Bots I liked the matrix so much I left it on the back side. Not sure where I got these. All from same rock: Mother Africa on another Bot Thanks for looking, have a great week!

Webster ranch is supposed to be in the vicinity of the Woodward ranch in West Texas. I bought some bisquits at a rock show silent auction. Real nice material but most of the bisquits were half quartz. I tumbled a whole bisquit and it looked like a pink and red clear candy coated quartz ball. Pretty neat.

Nice batch, Carlos. I really like the Websters - the stuff that looks mossy to me is starting to get to me - I guess I'm gonna have to tackle some of it one of these days. I really like the red-orange colors, too. Good stuff.

Wow! Those are nice! I wonder if we have a new south Texas fee dig now. I've been to Woodward and heard of Walker, Anderson, Stillwell etc but no Webster. It would be super cool to have a new fee plume agate site......Mel

I've been thinking about taking a trip this fall to west Texas and looking for agates out there and I Googled the name "Webster Ranch" and I can't find a thing about it. Anybody here ever been there? All I have to go by is the name penciled on the box of biscuits I bought at a silent auction over a year ago.
