The bolster is Phillipine monkey wood and won't buff out and the blade IS buffed out. That is a reflection. See, the watch is gold, but it is silver colored. Blame it on the picture taker.

What are you using to form the tighter radius on the front areas of the handles?
All I have are the 6" wheels on my Genie which limits me to a 6" radius.

That looks great. I have a knife to make a handle for. It's my first, but it is a very dificult. It might have to be put on hold till I get a simpler style.
