Last weekend when I changed over some 3 pound tumblers a mystery was brewing. After carefully rinsing and recharging everyone I was short a knurled nut! I looked all over but it could not be found. I rigged up some washers and a funny nut get things going. Well, this weekend when I changed the tumblers over, the mystery was solved! Steve

What, you polished your nut? Now, where is Amber when I need her on this one ;D Too many jokes come to mind but the real problem will be getting those little pellets out of the ridge. At least it will stand out from any other nuts now. Fran

LOL! Been there, done that .... I have a Thumler's rotary double-barrel tumbler, and 3 extra barrels. a couple of weeks ago, I was doing my weekly recharges, and rinsed a Thumler's lid "keeper" - the rubber band that keeps the lid sealed - out of the bottom of one barrel.

Fran, does a person REALLY want a nut to stand out from the rest? I mean, seems like that would mean there's sumfin wrong with said nut. Oh well. ;D

Oh my gosh, I had a feeling this post would go downhill ;D. Well, I cleaned it off, oiled the threads and it's back to tumbling. It survived it's little adventure. Nice to see I'm not the only one who's done that. BTW, thanks for the compliments on the rocks. They were done with prepolish in that picture and will be done next weekend. I will be sure to post photos, nut-free ;D Steve
