Here's a batch of mostly red and yellow quartz we picked up at the local beach.they were all pretty much rounded already so I didn't run them in the rotary.I started them in the vibe at 120/220 then 500 and then I ran them in Tripoli for about 24 hours before polishing in Tin Oxide for another day.I,m happy with the shine but the pics came out with an overall yellowish tint to them that I need to work on.Hope you enjoy them.

I got the same redish-yellow tint when I took pics with some sunlight coming though a window and the overhead flourecent(sp) lights on. Just a thought.

See if your camera has a setting for "white balance" - if it does, play with that and take successive pictures of the rocks with each setting - it might get better.
