I am finally trying to some done so that I know I am sending off great one(s) for the Roaming Wire. Ta Da .... I sat down today and with the BIG help from Joanne and Ronda (and many others) I was able to actually get past the bindings and to the bail. Note to self: Always make sure that the stone you are working with is a hard stone if you are using a small vise to hold it. Here is my first wrap in a long time and my biggest heartbreak. I put it in a small vise tightened it just a bit and SNAP!!

The wrap looks great! Too bad about the cab, but it can be fixed (honest). I've fixed a few of them. I just super glue them back together, add as much super glue as it takes to fill the crack, and re-polish. It's actually very easy and once fixed, most of the time the it looks like the crack was never there.

I know the feeling - "Oooooooh NOOOOOOOoooooo!" Been there, done that - last week I was almost finished wrapping a real nice tiger-eye for a lady, and the stone was so slick, it popped out of my fingers like a tiddly-wink, and when it hit the tile floor, it broke in half. Dang. But your wrap looks like it would have finished up really nice.

Julie your wrap looked great, you might run a piece of wire along the crack and it might look like great. Donna

Julie, we've all been there and will be there again, believe me you're not alone. Toad, it's an Albite Moonstone with blue flash. Jo

What a heartbreaker! I've done that as well - too many times. Glad you found time to play with it, though!

DANG! Sorry you broke your stone. Great wrap going on there tho. I was carrying my trays of cabs outside to show a friend...tripped and the trays went flying. Yep...broke a few cabs. sigh... It stinks no matter how they get broke.

Thanks All!!
Right now ... I will set it aside where I can see it as a lesson in what to look out for and try to get more of the other wraps done.
The wrap is actually holding it together. Thank goodness ...
As always ... my humble thanks Julie

Ouch, feel your pain, tile floors and big fingers break stones. Nice wrap start, get out the glue and win the battle. Debby and Tom

Wow Julie, that is a heart breaker! The wrap looks fantastic! Now you just need to find another stone about that size to fit in there and complete it! Fran
