Happy Halloween everyone! I can't believe I'm the one starting this thread!?! No other spooks out here in rock land? Anyway, Abby and Emily both got the swine flu 2 weeks ago, then Abby's turned into pneumonia last weekend. We decided we were skipping trick-or-treating this year, as the weather was about 40 degrees and 20+ mph winds. We hung out at home and carved a few pumpkins, roasted the seeds, watched a movie, and played the Wii. Here's our pumpkins. From left to right are a vampire themed one I carved (pumpkin masters pattern), a cute lil' face Emily did at gramma's yesterday, a witch Abby drew and carved, and another face Emily carved tonight. Enjoy the night, and don't spook too much... Nate

Nice pumpkins. We had perfect trick-or-treating weather here. About 50, dry, and no wind. In before dark.

Awww, sorry your kids have been sick Nate! Everyone here has been sick too. Our oldest has strep but has been on antibiotics long enough for the doc to ok trick or treating tonight. Morgan is in that teenage "I dont need my parents with me" age so she went with friends. Dennis and I just got back with Lillie. We made the rounds to the grandmas/grandpas and aunts and then did a bit of neighborhood candy collecting. Here's a pic of Lillie taken just a few minutes ago.

Cool punkys! Sounds like you had a fun and festive evening at home. Sorry to hear your kids are sick. Probably a wise decision to skip trick or treating. Steve

Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone. The girls are doing fine. We just didn't want to push it. From talking to the neighbors today, sounds like there wasn't too many kids running around, so we didn't miss much.
Shan, Lillie looks so cute! Looks like she brought home a good haul of candy too.

LOL So we have trick or treating Fri and Sat nights, he was feeling better Sat so Tony took him out in the rain for a bit, such a shame for the kids when they are sick!!!!! Glad your kids are on the mend too!!! Amber

We didnt stay out long either. Seemed like most lights were off before 9pm. Lillie gets really freaked out if houses have anything scary set up. There was one house with eerie music playing and a fog machine. They had their porch all closed in with plastic so the fog was rolling out of it. Lillie was convinced that someone was going to jump out and scare her. Even with Den right there to reassure her, I had to push her with all of my strength up to the front porch, no small feat considering my 10 year old is almost as big as me. We were all laughing by the time we got her up there LOL.
