Ok been seeing some glass tumbles. Thinking that I am going to try a batch in the future. Where does one find slag glass?

There's online suppliers. I ordered mine from a member here that was going to a business that had piles of it in all different colors.

Don't know how much you want to pay, but here is one site: www.recycled-rocks.com/You can probably do better on price though. Just google it.

Good site bushman. I'll have to keep them in mind to pick up some small stuff for filler when I'm tumbling obsidian.

If you are near any railroad lines and can safely walk along the side a lot of what they use for ballast (the rocks that the railroad ties are set on) is slag glass. It's usually just black but there are some different colors. At least it is around my area. The local rock shop is used to people running in and thinking they have found the worlds biggest rough ruby, black emerald, topaz, aquamarine, you name it. They've seen it all and had disappointed many treasure hunter wannabes.
