The pinkish color in the stones has the shimmer of feldspar. Pretty sure about that! You can't see it in the pics. Quartz doesn't have a shimmer like that, does it?

I've seen sunstone from India that varies from translucent to opaque. That Oregon stuff is just off the scale.
