Looks like it was involved in a tremendous amount of seismic activity at some point in time, but, man is it COOL !
You could name it FONZYITE. Neat lookin lizard type pattern !

Don't know what kind of wood it was, but I'm sure that I have seen the pattern before - there is some kind of tree in this area that, when burned, takes on that pattern on the end of the cut log. Charred, of course, but the same pattern. I'm thinking maybe Mel can ID it?
