My nephew Jake and I were playing around cutting rocks tonight and he wanted to make a cab out of some Midnight Lace Obsidian we were cutting, so we went and played on the cabbing machines. I grabbed this piece of Owyhee out of the slab bucket to teach him how to make a cab and it came out pretty good. He is still grinding away on his 2nd cab (the first one hit the tile floor right after he finished it) I will add a picture of it after he gets it done. I think this is the right side up My camera just doesn't capture the shine on this very good I will post the midnight lace cab after it gets finished Thanks for looking..........Tony

Looks like you both had a great time at the wheels! That Obsidian is a heart breaker but it is all part of the challenge. His finished product is a beauty and the morrisonite has a little bit of everything going on it it! Great job guys! Fran

Beautiful cabs, both the Owyhee and the obsidian. I think the broken cab could be used for a pair of smaller matching cabs (ear-rings). Whith such an uncle, no wander the nephew is attracted by rocks Adrian

Awesome cabs Jake! I think we've all lost a cab or two...but I think Adrian's idea is great. Make your broken ones into a matching set. Your a lucky guy to have such a rockin' Uncle! Steve
