;D
Does anyone know how to get your web browser to block the word "Rare" when you're on Ebay?

LOL! You can eliminate it from any search by adding a minus sign in front of it in the search bar. I'll often do that to narrow down my search to items that actually interest me.

*L* Yup so many "rare" rocks up for bid. And also so many misidentified rocks but strangely enough, never misidentified as something less expensive. ie: $2 per pound Mcdermitt Picture Jasper listed as Deschuttes. Leopardskin Jasper ( rhyolite) Id'd, and priced as ocean jasper or poppy jasper *L*....Mel

For jollies I just searched the category collectibles, rocks fossils minerals, lapidary materials, rough for cabbing. It brought up 4094 items. When I added -rare it went to 3896. Then I searched the "rare" items. Out of the 198 items 89 were from china LOL.
My real pet peeve with ebay searches is the "best match" search. I always change it to ending soonest. The "Best match" basically means the sellers who kiss ebays bu++ the best by paying a higher percentage in user fees get bumped to the top of the list. Generally the best deals get buried at the bottom of the list on this search. Ebay is really screwing the small seller with their new policies, quite often the same people who made them successful to begin with.
Ummm, oh by the way, Happy Thanksgiving.

Old new`s, E-bay has been doing it all along, By store was lapidaryrough, ( 2004 - 06 ) i closed it do to the beating i was getting by staff at e-bay. to buy high dollar ads to list site on top.........Very spend`y For the most part i had to buy pop ups and they would show up on screen when search was made in the right META tag wording. store front`s are cheap to open though it is Penney`s to list and dollars to sale on e-bay, less then three weeks later Bill Comb released 99 cent auction listings, just after closing my store. some listing`s cost $1.00 - 2.70 to list item cost less then 20.00.
And to get customer in store Mary At E-bay said to me on phone you need to do auction listing`s to get more traffic through your store front.
Endless Schist to Deal with..........with E-bay
Web-site`s are cheap, + .com name`s

I know how to do a negative search, but unfortunately I want to see those items, I just don't want to see the word "rare". Any techie know how we can get our web browsers to automatically replace the word "rare" with the word "silly" when we are on eBay? That's your assignment!
