I think these inverted tracks could qualify as "Turkey Tracks", don't you?. Top view End view end view with a slab. Bob

That's a gorgeous slice of chicken track. Love the scene you have blocked out there.

The material icnolite? aka Chicken track has been around for years... the old timers actually called the really large and thick pieces Turkey Track! - If any of you folks who travel through Oregon make it to the mountain ski town of Government Camp stop at the brew pub/cafe on the south? side of town (Portland Side) and go inside. The entire interior walls are made of rough chicken track. This used to the Darr's Rock Shop years ago! I knew the daughter Lori for many years... She has since moved to a unknown place and I've never heard from her since. Just before she moved she gave me the tons of rock she had left.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I will refer to it as "Turkey track" jasper. Great scene in that slab.

Looking at the top, I never would have guessed what's inside. Cool (and beautiful) stuff!

Hermey, I was digging through my stack of rock baskets looking for something else when I came across this piece. There may be another one around but that would be all I have. I didn't dig it. I think it is from Oregon, near the Idaho? or Nevada? border. Bob

The material, especially the rough is getting scarce.
