Just out cruising the web... and thought I'd throw some opinions up onto the bridge. I've always liked rocks and too many followed my home. I just happened to be out rockhounding with the wife and stepkids at Rainbow Ridge and was infected with oplaholism. After the divorce I pretty much moved out to my claims in Virgin Valley that I put in the first year. Met my better half for 11 years (RIP) and never looked back. Been looking forward eagerly a lot, but never back. Precious opal wasn't just falling out of the hills here (unless you paid good money) but we were blessed with good luck over the years and spent more time mining then polishing or selling. Bought and resold other rocks haha. Change happens. Still do some shows and have the website but still no store there yet. That's too much like work until 2013.

Welcome Aboard John. So...I guess you own the Swordfish Opal Mines huh?!?! Maybe if we come out there in May we'll have to come and visit. I think most of us would love to do what you do....it's still a dream of mine! Steve
