the alum table is better than the plastic one on the new QEP wf. Also the 1.25 hp motor is really beefy.
I would do it.

How do manufacturers manage to rate a 6.5A motor at 1.25 HP? A 1HP 120v AC motor should draw about 13-15 amps. I see it with other power tools as well, they must have a different standard for rating horsepower. However the 6.0a 1/3 HP motor on my 10 inch saw hasn't met a rock that slowed it down, so 6.5a on a tile saw is quite generous. Definitely a deal.

The Husky is WAY better than the WF. I have run one for almost a year now and gone through 20+ replacememt blades. It has heavier construction and a better reservoir. I have worn tracks in the aluminium table from abrasion, but there is still life in it. The WF table wouldn't stand up to my obsessive cutting binges.
You won't use the fence or the laser, but you will be happy with you investment for many years to come.
Go for it.
