I posted a photograph of the toy cars and trucks I make for a Christmas show before they were finished, so, here is what they look like finished ready for the show. Now, I really need to clean up the shop. There is a boat under construction in there! Well, the show is over. It was a pretty poor buyers market this year. We do sort of OK, some artists did not even make the booth fee, and we had pretty good weather this week end. The wood butchering elf The whole shebang The left side The right side Mrs elf at work Without flash Now, with flash..shows the colour better

those are great, I love those flatbeds. Are you making them out of 2x4`s?

All the toys started out being made from scrap left from the boats I built. Being frugal, it was hard to discard a foot of left over wood that I had payed very good money for. Today, most of the material is recycled material from furniture shops, packing crates, and and pallet wood hence the layered look most of which is 3/4 or 1 inch. Woody

Good pictures Woody, but I think they even look better in person! The perfect gift for the environmentally conscientious.

I like very much the ones with an old look, having the spare wheel on the back.

My company name is Woodside Boats, so, you are looking at a boat shop, only this time of year the the elves turn it into a workshop for Santa. There are buckets more of the cars, some toy boats, and breadboards too. These are just the last run before the show. Elf

AMAZING! Oh, I just love them all! What a great work shop there! Plenty of wood and so many beautiful toys! Are those templets for rocking horses hanging in the background? Fran

Woody, these are so cool! And recycling the wood is a great idea too! Just because it's a pallet or crate doesn't mean it's junk. I made a coffee table from old pallets several years ago. The hardwood from the pallets was beautiful once sanded and stained!

I think it's fantastic that you are preserving a little bit of history in the making of hand made wooden toys. Hopefully you will always have an appreciative audience for them. It's getting harder to compete with Wii and Xbox.

Woody, that set up looks so nice, you get an A for display!!!!! I think those fishy cutting boards are cute too, you are very talented!!!!! Indeed the economy is bad!!! Makes it hard to get a lot of slaes, but even if people didnt buy I bet they thought the items were super! Amber
