Yes William, how about an up-date. As you might remember I also ordered from the same place, a small mixed sample (30KG) to check out for knapping. I haven't seen hide nor hair-line crack yet. But I was warned before hand that the ground mail would take up to 3 months to arrive. I figure about the time I forget I ordered it, it will show up ;D. Let us know if your ship has come in yet, it's killin' us! Talk to you later, Don

Greetings All, The rocks arrived in Mobile, Alabama today ;D Unfortunately I won't be able to go down and get them until next weekend I've got a presentation at work Monday morning and I'll need Friday at least to prepare, and the warehouse isn't open on weekends. Alas, after untold millions of years of geological time in which the rocks have patiently waited for me to finally see them, they will have to sit in a warehouse for one more week, forlorn and forsaken, but not forgotten. Next Friday I'll take off from work and go pick them up. Now I just have to figure out the logistics since I'll have to rent a truck. Maybe I can sweet-talk my wife into taking off from her work early enough Friday for us to make it into Mobile in time for me to rent a U-haul and get to the warehouse by 4:30 P.M. Probably not though. So I can drive my car down early Friday, rent the truck and pick up the rocks, then drive back Friday afternoon/evening. Then Saturday all of us can drive down, stay Saturday night, and bring back both cars Sunday. Either way, I plan on having them at my house next weekend. WilliamC

I had a thought go zooming through my brain, William when you rent the truck get one with a "Tommy Lift" on the rear , so you can unload the rock with the lift or you are in for more serious work getting them down from the truck bed, unless your neighbor just so happens to have a fork lift to help. save your back you may need it someday.
