Ok, the new wire came in yesterday, and of course I couldn't wait to sit down and fiddle with it. Here are the results of my trials. I haven't done any wrapping in probably 2 or more weeks, waiting to have the money to order the wire, then waiting for it to get here....yes my patience was wearing a bit thin! These are my dremel cabs, all wrapped up! Laker Red & yellow Maryellen Maryellen Agate Thanks for lookin' everyone! I will be selling these as well, if anyone is interested, 10.00 each. Marie

Marie, I only have 2 words for this batch: WOWEE!
Ok, one word. ;D
Interesting that the silver wire in the pictures looks more like bronze. Do you have a setting on your camera for "white balance"? If so, be sure you have it set to whatever kind of light you are using for the pics.
I always run my pics through Microsoft Office Picture Manager (I've had it forever) to do the cropping and adjusting of the color and brightness/contrast settings to get the silver to be silver, the red to be red, etc.
Just a thought,
Tom

Hey thanks Tom! The square wire was a little, umm....hairy to get used to at first, but I think I am getting the hang of the stuff! Camera...well.......gonna have to look in to that "white balance" thing, see if I can figure it out. Thanks again! Marie

Looks GREAT Marie. Once you get used to the square wire, you'll wonder how you managed to work with the round. I am sooo impressed. Jo

Marie, I just reviewed this thread, and it finally dawned on me - you are severely undercutting my prices for pendants! Are you sure you are considering accurately the cost of the silver? Including the waste? I have a bunch of mine in an arts'n'crafts store with prices from $25 to $45 depending on the stone and the wire. And I've sold over $200 worth so far. I think you should ask at least twice as much for those with the silver wire - they're definitely worth it! Tom

Wow, thanks Tom....I have thought about it, but once again my concious mind won't allow me to over do it on pricing. I always feel like I have ripped someone off if I charge a lot for something, and I just don't like that feeling. I did figure it up, and I would be ok as far as cost in supplies goes, I just wouldn't be getting anything for my time to speak of. I don't have anything really in the stones, but time. A lot of them are self collected, and some are rocks that I have traded for with my other rocks, so that helps a LOT. I will consider this...should I go elsewhere in selling, but to every one on RTH, the price stands. If it weren't for everyone here....I wouldn't know squat about rocks, wire wrapping, tumbling, or anything else, so..... Moondragon, Toad, Aunuts - Thanks for the kind words. In wrapping these, I have figured out 1 thing....the domes are what is making them harder to wrap...I have them too high I think. I wrapped a couple of Ambers cabs today, and hers were much easier to manage. I think a little more grinding on the stones is in order for the future. ****sigh*** more time with my rocks and dremel! LOL Thanks again everyone!!!!!!! Marie
