Oh Geeze! Gawd that looks deep. It looks like you had a good stitcher and should heal up well, but holy smoke.

I held back on this one for a while, since I have worked with power tools for many years. Whilst I have only taken a few minor nips out of myself, I have seen some pretty bad ones that do prove power tools have no respect for flesh and bone. I once witnessed a worm drive with disabled guard being dropped that immediately jumped up and bit the dropee in the ass. That one cut to the bone, and it was only turning on momentum. A shop I was working in was running a batch of knotty pine one through the planer. This sent me to the hospital when a knot was thrown from the planer, and hit me amidships from fifty feet away. I figured this was going to prevent any more children for sure. I know none of these stories made your finger feel better, and I am glad to hear you have all the feeling back. The woodbutchering elf

Good to hear it's healing well Randy.
Probably the worst near miss for me was in shop class in H.S. A buddy of mine couldn't get the chuck on the big floor model dril press loose so he asked me to change the drill. I proceded to tighten the new one in the chuck and before I was done he hit the start button. Being in shop class the key was tied with string to the frame so it wouldn't get lost. Well that worked like a whip and shot the key across the shop. Luckily I let go in time before it wrapped around a finger or worse. He freaked and thought I was gonna run and tell. I just calmed him down and told him to remember that and never do it again.
