Greetings, fellow tumblers. It's been a while since I've had anything worth posting, but I thought I'd pop up with some pics from a batch that I pulled out today. This batch was a mix of different type of jaspers (definitely my favorite tumbling materials these days). I ran them all in Lortone QT66s for the rough and 3 lb. barrels for the medium, pre-polish, and AO polish. First some pics of purple jasper, supplied by MichaelJohn. Here is how it looked at the start (cut up with my WorkForce): pic1: And here is how it came out tumbled. I included one flash pic to give a sense of the color, which is a greyish-purple speckle: pic2: pic3: Here is the rest of the batch, a mix of other jaspers. This is how it looked toward the end of the rough stage: pic4: And at the finish: pic5: pic6: pic7: pic8: Here are some closeups of some of my favorites: pic9: pic10: pic11: I have a bunch more of these rocks tumbling now, and I am psyched for the next one to finish! Thanks for looking.
