I think your rough grind really shaped them nicely Julie. Once you put a shine on them they're gonna be sweet!

That was a cool revelation. A nice natural shape to them.

Carlos .... thank you!!! I really did over do it in the 60/90
Snuffy ... I am developing such a love for this volcanic glass. I do not know why. It is a bit persnickety to work with and yet .... no matter how much I beat the hell out of it and the amount of mass I lose (a little less each time) this stuff blows my doors off.
I hope that I am not being insulting, but I cannot think of a better way to give back then to move on to another person some of these very cool raw pieces.
If you saw the rough in this post and would like some, I will send to you some in a heartbeat!!!! If you do want it and open the box and hear a whimper ... that's just me mourning the loss. ;D
I am really proud of myself after a year and could not have done it without any of you.
Let's Rock!!!!!!!

I hear ya, Julie - that glassy stuff is growing on me, too! Every time I accidentally get some really pretty pieces out of a batch of whatever, I find myself fingering it and looking at it over and over. Maybe that's why I also like "goldstone" so much, too!
