Getting ready to head to Quartzsite next week, I have been making rock crates for the past week, and then of course as soon as I get ready to fill them up, it snows!! Snowed here for the past 2 days, today was sunny so I went rock mining with my pick and a snow shovel, got 4 crates filled today, came home wet and cold, but it was a great day, cause I was playing with rocks!! Local Idaho material Utah material Thundereggs Green Owyhee Just about half loaded, hope to get the rest loaded by Monday. Lookin forward to seeing some RTH friends soon! Have a great day.............Tony

Wow, I wish I could go to quartzite this year! How do you load those full crates into your truck?

Not many of us can go mining in our own back yard! Have a safe trip down, and have fun. Woody

Catman: Good luck I hope you sell all those crates full of rock. Although knowing you, I suspect they will be full of new material upon your return, LOL Amber

I had a hard enough time digging my rocks out from under the snow to move them! I can't imagine crating up so much out in that weather. (Yes, I know I'm a wimp!) I wish you the best of luck on your trip and I hope you sell lots! Fran

Wow, I wish I could go to quartzite this year! How do you load those full crates into your truck? I use a fork lift. Got 8 crates on the trailer today, then went down and weighed it. Loaded 11,000 pounds, almost ready to go. Looking forward to the rock vacation!!
