Thought I would give this a try. These are just plated, lower cost buckles that I used for my first attempt at mounting the stones. Not very happy with the quality of the mount attachments. I had to add some thread lock to make sure the screws would stay put. Getting the stone cut down to the proper thickness and making sure the shape and slope of the stone was good was a nice exercise for me. Anyway, here they are! Some kind of pretty green stone; A red agate, I think; Blue quartz from kap, I think; And, kaleidoscope jasper from Ralph and Maryann; If I can find some sterling silver blanks, I would someday like to make some with some really pretty stone. Thanks for lookin' Mike

If this is a first attempt I would say you hit it out of the ballpark! Each stone looks to fit snugly into place and they look great! Fran

Mike: Now you are making mine look bad that I did for Marie!!!!! I wish she would have asked you, you did a super job, they look fantastic. It is tough isn't it? I liked the one she sent with the screw on back better than the prong setting, they are very unforgiving if not sized exactly right.
Marie, don't look, lol

Very nice buckles. Looks like you got the cabs spot on. I plan to make my Dad one someday. Guess I'll need to practice.
