My goodness! Looks like you started off 2010 in style! Great rocks and scenery! Why did they make a new lake for the wood?

What a way to wake up. Beautiful sunrise and beautiful rocks. What is the rock in the third pic from the bottom? That one is really neat.

Your weather, let alone the those agates makes a lot of us envious this time of year. Yea, I know, here in the Pacific Northwest the weather is not really bad anytime of the year, but righ now the rivers are very high, and digging in the woods is more bailing than digging. It would seem the park has no concern about the pet wood going away, eh! Woody

Thanks everyone.... NEw lake for the wood is funny...But they built it for the fishing.... That is a piece of coral in the picture..... I have to say that the wood is protected by a sign.....Thou Shalt Not....... John

John, That is what I call a very successful day of Hounding! Dang...those Agates are too flippin' sweeeet. The patterns are so intricate...they look pretty tasty. The other stuff ain't too shabby either. Steve

What a fine haul! Love the piece of coral and all those really neat banded agate examples. Don't even see those here in the west. The one with the almost full face fortification is really a beaut!.....Mel

Nice haul! A few of those agates in the big pics look like Lakers; some of the close-ups look like Prairie Agate or Fairburns. It's amazing you find that variety, but then you're way downstream of not only the Big River, but also all of it's tributaries.
