Adrian, I use 2 dowels stuck in a board. I cut a slot in the first one for the blade to rest in. It is the shorter dowel. I cut the taller dowel to the slope of the handle to rest it on. Works great. Of course, the wood has to be either stained or painted. Ken PS Also, a piece of driftwood like Tom uses works great too.

Not only is it amazing but the handle looks like it would be held very comfotably and the edge looks wicked sharp. You did a beautiful job.

Flawless job on the knife Adrian. I have tried obsidian and had bad results. You got a mirrior shine that's really impressive. Look forward to seeing your next one, great job:)
