Finally got a chance to set up the saw-- I think it's essentially a Wizard that got rejected for a leak in the back. The kids got it for Christmas from a DP uncle. We stuck chewing gum in the leak, and now it's fine! So we're looking all over for small rocks to chop up-- too bad they're all in the tumbler! (the white rock is a chunk of marble) Thanks RTH for the inspiration! Carrie & kids

Clean the metal well and patch with "JB Weld". It is available from any auto parts store.

By the way, those are really nice but extremely expensive trim saws.

Ditto on the JB Weld. That stuff will hold anything together. We used it to repair a gear on Honda CBR600 sport bike and it never failed. Currently I fixed my kitchen faucet with it and stopped the leak. Anyways nice saw.

Oh, you are going to have a lot of fun with that! Just remember not to force the cuts. Take it slow and easy so your blade lasts as long as possible. Fran

Congrats! That's a nice looking trim saw. Guess it's time for a rock hounding trip so you can feed that thing! ;D

Thanks for the tips-- sounds like JB Weld is a bit more permanent than chewing gum! It's a great little saw and does deserve better, but we were in a hurry to try it out... Carrie (writing JB Weld on the shopping list)
