Don't know about the UV-3 but my UV-10 sits quite well on the flat surface of one of my workbenches and is actually relatively quiet. Doesn't need to be stuck down like the Lot-O. Just got UV-10 as an early Xmas present and it appears to be a really nice unit....Mel

Ours sits on the work bench, but it would fine on a folding table if it is somewhat strudy. It does not move around any on the bench. When it is full it has a bit of weight. We have a UV10. Debby and Tom

I found with my UV10 that if you put a carpet square under it, it will cut down the noise that it does make.
It is not real noisy to start with,

Ditto on the above. I have run my UV-10 24/7 for almost a year and it does not crawl or leap off work benches. I had the same concerns when I first got the machine, but now sleep well.
Try an experiment. Put 3 pieces of masking tape directly inder the feet. Check the next day. There should be no movement of the masking tape. Sleep well.
Darryl.

John, I would go with the UV-10 industrial though as I checked and the UV-3 has a tiny little 2 1/2# tub which is suggested for small tumbles only. It's nice to have room for larger stones, slabs, big cabs etc......Mel

yea the more i think about it i prob will i have 3 model b's and 2 lortone 12lbers with 4 -- 6lb barrels in reserve for later stages so i should be able to keep the vibe full i been goin through my buckets out there and i have stuff i havent seen in acouple years haha i even found 2 buckets of flint ridge blue/black and marbeled flint from storage that stuff comes out great in tumbles and cabs -- hell i even found around 10 gallons of mineral oil that was in storage so i gotta get the slab saw goin again -- its draining right now haha
