Almost got this load completely finished running in the garage in this cold weather, but this last blast of arctic air put a freeze on 'em and I brought my UV-10 inside to run them for one more day. I do see some effects, but all in all I'm pretty pleased with 'em. My neighbor gave me some Cape May Diamonds last summer. Cape May Diamonds are actually pieces of quartz crystal, originating in the upper Delaware River, where they began their journey to the sea on rapid river currents, tumbling and smoothing as they went. A shipwreck diverted currents that brought them onto the beaches. Native Americans used them for trade many moons ago. Here's the rest of the batch. Some local Citrine, Smokies, Blues, Roses, some Quartzite, and more CM Diamonds. And some closeups. Had alot of fun with this batch, thanks to everyone here for being my inspiration! Cheers! Jo

Thanks everyone! They did surprisingly well considering they were frozen solid, LOL.
A little more rock-nerd trivia for ya... The Jersey coast had alot of glass manufacturers and it was incorrectly thought that Cape May Diamonds came from them. As you can see, they are definitely quartz. Also, they are most likely found on Sunset Beach, NJ. The Native American tribe that settled on the Jersey shore was the Kechemeche.
