Howdy folks, Just got back from the Fredricksburg Texas gem show this afternoon. It runs for another day, 10-4pm I think at the Ladybird Johnson park. Much better show than last year with much more rough and slabs. One fellow had some beautiful intensely colored carnelian from China and some Chinese Chopstick agate which are both new ones for me. He also had some Turkish sagenite that was a bit pricey for me but very interesting rough. The real find for me was a whole bunch of one cab wonder dino bone slabs at 25 cents to a dollar each. Seeing all Steve's beautiful dino bone cabs lately had me really want to get more to cab so I loaded up. *S* Also found a bounty of fine Rio Grande Agate slabs at super cheap prices so I got a bunch of them too. Also found a nice slab of palm in a new color for my collection and some other nice odds and ends. There were some nice looking #1 grade Coyamito nodules there too but at $50 per pound, I passed on those. The prettiest thing I saw was a fantastic full round of polished red gem bone but *gulp* $800. Too rich for me! I'll try to take some pics to post tomorrow.....Mel
