Rockhobbit rofl her ao will get all muddy! Ah, do you guys actually get rain you can not measure? What do I know, I live in duck country where the reat of you guys think we have webbed feet. This morning, I went to the airport here in Seattle to pick up my wife coming up from San Diego.........we were ten degrees warmer and whole lot dryer.........so much for global warming, which at least is working for us here in the PNW.
Just think of all the spring flowers in the desert this year! Woody

Hope you guy's don't sink! That much rain will make for some interesting stories when you get home ! You have to look at the bright side, you don't have to SHOVEL it ! Left work 3 hours early today hoping I could still make it home. I was haulin A$$ through the sleet pounding down, headed for the front porch with 3 bags of groceries and a large thermos. Slid ALL the way across and OUT the other side landing on a frozen snowbank.
Hope the neighbors were lookin because the way the weather has been, we need a little humor around here !

we just had the worst storm here last night in 100 yrs. The state of az. has been declared a disaster area. we are all fine, but there are many vendors that have lost so much of their inventory. Tents were flying all over the place, landing on other tents and taking them down . Twisted and crumpled tent frames all over. Its a very sad sight. I can't post pics because i'm on a slow boardband connection. Some was walking around taking pics and he said he will post them on facebook under quartzsite disaster. i'm sure there will be lots of information all over the net. The pow wow was completey leveled. Thank god, no lives were lost. mary ann

Mary ann, It sounds like all of you have your hands full. Thank heavens those flying tents and poles did not take anyone out. I really hope when the rains stop, much of what was tossed can be found. As thankful as it is that no lives were lost, it is just as hard to watch all your hard work and creations get ruined
Take care and stay safe.

Didn't know that Quartzite had a monsoon season... wow! In spite of what you might believe, we do have a monsoon season, but generally it's in the summer. This has been an unusual winter. We have a wash behind our place, & it's been full 3 X's since Sept. It's about 150' across where we are, & it was running fast all the way across & 5' - 6' deep. Jo
