Well, I finished this load a while back. I have just been a little busy and not on the board as much as I would have liked to be. I took a few pics before my battery conked out. They don't look very shiny but they are much better than the picture shows. Thanks for looking. Fran

Finally have all the tumblers going. Couldn't find a box with 3 of the barrels in it until last weekend so they are finally rolling. We have a few more pieces of furniture to put back together (I have a monster craft table that they took apart to get it moved and now it is in the garage in pieces). I still have not used the genie but this weekend, I am getting to it and trying it out. I have been going through cab withdrawal! Fran

Hey Fran, take a pic of them under a tree on a sunny day, that's how I capture the shine the best. Great batch!

Today is supposed to be sunny but I think I will be blinded by the glare of the snow. Maybe I will give it a try when it gets warmed up to...29. YIKS! Fran

I love the green.
Are they prone to pitting or fractures? Or are they fairly stable? Do you have to treat those stones different from the others?
thanks Lowell

Hi Fran Thats is a lovly mixture of colours a bit down on the shine but as you say photoing was the problem
As Randy says try under a tree , another thing I do is to place my body between the sun and subject,
The problem is reflected light from the subject that shuts down the digital camera , (but you still need a high light condition to get a good photo)
I ave also got good results with photing on a sunny day ,with snow covered ground with rocks on a blue tray
It took me a good 6 months to be able to photo Polished rocks in the summer sun , do a bit of experimenting and you will soon come up with a good method
