OK, I finally did it & here are the pics to prove it! I cut some I probably shouldn't have cut 'cause they were kind of too big! But, Oh Well, someone had to to it! ;D I gave up on trying to refill with water. Just left the hose on trickle to keep it full. Attachments:

:nono: Probably shouldn't have cut this one. Next pic shows what it looked like before I cut it, it was all one piece! It was 6" long, but not any more.

Next one shows what I have left to cut. They are all on the almost too big size, but where there's a will, there's a way!! ;D Now I can fill my 15# tumbler up again. The larger slabs of rose quartz are from pieces the size of the two I have left to cut. Thankfully it was one of the easier ones to cut. Enjoy the pics, 'cause I sure enjoyed cutting the rocks! Yeah, it's my first time & it was a blast. Too bad I'm almost out of rock & I want a better & thinner blade. I'm spoiled already!

Nice cuts Donnie! I think as long as you didn't kill the saw, none of them are too big. Just goes to show their 1" thick recommendation for these saws is just that - a suggeston! LOL!

Nice cuts! We cut rock all day today too. Seems like there's not enough hours in the day before we have to turn the saw off so that we dont make the neighbors mad. Hey donnie, you can put all of your photos in one thread. It will be a lot quicker and easier on you. Shannon

I just love having a cutting day! You sure got to slice up some nice material! Is that some St Johns agate and some rose quartz there? Was the big piece a limb cast or was it a flint nodule? The only advice I can give is stock up on blades. when they go, they knock and take forever to cut and I hate to be stopped for a trip to the store. Better to keep a supply

Yes, rose quartz from MojaveJoe & some big pieces given to me by our local pet store. Yes on the St. Johns agate from Stones That Rock. The big piece is silicified coral from jcinpc. Not too sure if I would recognize limb cast or a flint nodule?!! What is a good blade to use, not too expensive?
