What will happen if some of my grit or polish is contaminated?
I had a large order delivered where the containers were broken. Most of the grit and polish is contained but there is potential contamination on the tops of the containers.
Do I need to throw away the top layers of each grit and polish?
Thanks for your help. Dana

I would have sent it back, they should know the importance of secured packaging

The polish can not hurt the grit. The grit always wins. No concern there.
Take the top layer off the polish off and hope you get any stray grit. Keep your fingers crossed.
The high cost of postage and delay time doesn't make it easy to return an order. Sometimes you just got to run with it.
Tell your supplier about your problem. If they are reasonable, they should discount your next order or give you a freebie to regain your confidence and business.
Darryl.

Darryl said it all, you definitely can't contaminate grit with polish.

Either skim the top off as suggested, or get a fine seive and seive the top of the polish.

I would let supplier know, maybe they can help you out with the loss of the polish.
