An irresistable smile camp fire happy lesson on Silver Smithing dynamic duo no time to talk, gotta run O! do I miss the warmth in AZ of both weather and friends. Got lots more pics but they are basically the same as what has already been posted so I narrowed it down a bit. I do have pics of "after Burro Creek adventures with Jamie and Rodney" and the fun surely continued right up til I had to leave.

Well, I've been following this thread and am scratching my head just like everyone else, and I'm not sure my comments are needed, but I just want to suggest that everyone cut Sheri some slack. She busted her hump (literally) making this happen and I'm sure she just needs to rest up a bit. She did a bang up job on this trip which I'm sure is incontestable. Lori, those are some great pics! Everybody smile and start lovin' life again. Jo

I just had to say I'm glad I went despite the rain and cold nights. That mine tour was excellent, I'm still reeling from all the figures we were told and how big that mine really is up close. I'm so glad you arranged that Sheri. I agree, you are the "hostess with the mostess". Thank you. Also thank you all for making the trip great. I might have had too much fun, not...LOL.

I got a hitch hiker. When I got home I had a grey zip-up sweat shirt that wasn't mine. Since I had a grey t-shirt and sweatshirt, I may have picked it up by mistake. If anyone is missing one, let me know.

Here is our first set of pics. I took the landscapes and Amber took most of the people pictures. Some large specimen sculptures at Electric Park in Tuscon. Take note of the malachite and azurite chunk in the middle of the pic. The bridge over Burro Creek. The hills were really green from the rains. So different than when we went through here last August. Meeting old friends and new. Jasper changed clothes more than me. lol He probably smelled better too. ;D The jeans were my favorite but I didn't get a picture of those. He's a real cutie. Here's one of the infamous fireside chats that will never be talked about outside of Burro Creek. This is Tony & Chris's tent. I'll let you dream up your own caption since I can't divulge what was really going on here. This was the view early in the morning of our first day. The cliff opposite the campground. Driving into the hills towards the northern part of Burro Creek. We met some geology students up at the creek and they told us this area is called the Devil's Half Acre and holds some interesting rock formations. We didn't get to there but hope too next time. The first collecting site. The agate flowed like streams down the hillside. Tony and I found a little jasper here as well. Sherri & Jamie at the second collecting site. Nice brownish pastelite here. Jamie and Diane (Drocknut) at the second site. I hiked up a dry wash to its beginning, this cliff. The rest of the cliff. Reminds me of mushrooms. Small cave in the cliff side. Any one have an explanation of the honeycombing inside? That's it for now. Tomorrow I'll post more.

That photo of the tent is a bit blured. Is it because of the dimmed light, or was the tent shakin'? ;D

I finally got time to download the pics from the trip. These are all from Chris' camera as my camera is AWOL some where. I had a blast on this trip, Thanks to everyone who came and made it a memorable event. Alot of the pictures we have are the same as have already been posted, so I picked a few that I haven't seen yet on here. Stan making a fashion statement Burro Creek running into the serpentine canyon We went on a tour of the Baghdad mine and they tested us all and Ralph was emitting radioactive waves so he had to wear a suit to protect the rest of us. It took 2 women to help him get dressed. Here is a sheet of the copper that they make there Group pic with the tonka truck that will haul 300 tons of material Closeup of the group Then they let Ralph take his suit off and look what happened to us! Maryann and Amber hamming it up On the way home we just missed the pot of gold Starting to get closer to home This trip was waaaaaay fun!! Sure glad we went, thanks to everyone who worked hard putting this trip together. It went well! It was a pleasure to meet more of my RTH family! Oh yeah, I got one more nice large rock from Koning's rock shop, dunno what it is, but I will post pics of it as soon as I get a slice cut off of it. Have a great day..............Tony

I'll tell you what the main topic was for conversations around the campfires during the Burro Creek trip. I learned more about (I'm sorry but any religious people should probably turn their heads now), I learned more about "You know what" in 5 minutes than I have known my whole life. (Geez, I can't even say it) They would ask me a question and all I could say was "Oh my God". I ran right into one of those huge boulders trying to make an exit.................Before I knew too much.
It was really dark though, not really sure who "they" were but they sure knew a lot of err, umm, stuff about junk.

Thanks for the pics. Mushroom cliffs are why you shouldn't walk on the edge of a cliff! Any of you going to the Woodward Ranch next month? Later, jeri

Great pics Tony. I have a few more to post. Don't let Jamie make you think she's miss innocent. She shared a story or two about a place where she used to work and how they would race some of the products. ;D
