I sat in the sun like an old cat this morning, and wrapped the Lepidolite cab I made yesterday. I tried to get a little fancier on this one, as I gave it to my wife. My inexperience shows, but I think it turned out good enough not to rip apart LOL. It's wrapped in 20 ga. silver colored copper. I obviously need to work on my finishing touches. All critiques are welcome. And here's the back side. Thanks for looking. Nate

;D I see you joined the "swirly club" Nate...lol Looks like you did a nice job to me. Maybe using a smaller gauge wire would make it less bulky looking. Hope she likes it.

You did everything right, looks great! Now you need to try it with some better wire. Silver wire doesn't cost too much, go 22 gauge square (dead soft) with 21 gauge half round (half hard) and you'll see the difference. Also, I notice that you do 5 turns on your binds. That's how all of mine were, now I only do three. It makes everything look more clean and simple. You've got the knack for this, my biggest recommendation is to do at least one each day, 2-3 each day on weekends (as long as time allows).

Thank you for your comments everyone. Drocknut - I thought the wire gauge was almost too big, but when Jennifer (my wife) is wearing it, it looks pretty good. I think smaller would still have been more elegant though.
Marie - Thank you!
Randy - I have the 22 ga square and 21ga half round wire in copper. It does work a lot easier, maybe too easy lol. I wrapped Emily's rutilated quartz in it. I have checked wire prices and see it's not too terribly expensive, so I'll be getting some eventually. I know practuce is needed, and will help. Hopefully I can at least get out 1 or 2 a week.
Fran - Thank you, Jennifer does love it. In fact Emily commented on it 2 or 3 times tonight too LOL! I think she wants one too.

Nate, the wrap is pretty, keep at it. Randy has always suggested Rio Grande as a silver and gold filled wire supplier and I started ordering from them. I found that when I'm strapped for money, I just order wire in 1/2 oz lots. It helps keep me in wire and doesn't break the bank.
I just thought I would add this info for ya.
