There was a 2 pound chunk of blue quartz in a gift box that she gave me a couple of months ago. Anyhow, I slabbed it today, this stuff is cool!! ....

That is really nice stuff! What is the yellow looking stuff? Mica or some metal inclusions? I think they will really make fantastic cabs and I can't wait to see them...Well, I guess I will have to wait till it warms up a bit! Fran

Fran, I think the white is calcite and the metallic is mica. There is also some green and little encapsulated pockets of mud (with iron?) that give it a pinkish color. I think I sent you some a while back in smaller pieces. Jo

I can't wait either, as soon as it warms up a bit I'm gonna be cabbing until my hands are just stumps. (I don't dop) ;D Anything blue is cool, but this stuff is really over the top!
